Some ways

you can help

one

Volunteer your time

We are always looking for motivated volunteers to help us save pups! Whether you have one hour or ten, live in the DMV or a different city, have rescue experience or are just getting started - we would love to have you!

We're looking for people who can:

Work as placement coordinators, advocating for their assigned dogs and communicating with fosters

Write creative pup bios and content for our website and social media channels

Help transport a dog to vet appointments, foster homes, or meet and greets!

If you have these skills, we'd love to meet you!

Become a foster family

As a foster-based organization, we rely heavily on our foster base to help us rescue pups in need! As a foster you will take in a pup until they find their forever home, helping them adjust to a new life. TLBD provides all essential supplies to fosters - homes and love is all that is required!

Being a foster allows my family and I an opportunity to get to know and love a dog in need until he or she is ready for their forever home.  It’s not always easy work, but the experience is invaluable and a perfect way to show our daughter how giving back to the world is so important.
